Our aim is to glorify God by building each other up and making Jesus known in our communities.

This is a whole church vision, so we encourage everyone to be involved in some aspect of the church's life and ministry.

The PCC (our church council) meets six times a year, under the leadership of the vicar. There are small hubs (or sub-committees) that oversee key areas of work, such as children's work, overseas mission, discipleship and learning, maintaining the fabric of the building, etc.

Supporting and helping to lead the church in mission and ministry are several full-time or part-time staff, as well as our churchwardens and lay readers.

Rev Dominic Newstead - Vicar

Dominic moved to Little Heath with his family in 2016, to join Christ Church as our vicar.

Rev Chris Edwards - Assistant Curate

Chris joined us as our curate (a trainee assistant minister) in summer 2018, along with his wife Karen and their two children.

Karen Sleeman - Pastoral Care and Biblical Counselling Intern

Karen is our Pastoral Care and Biblical Counselling Intern, seeking to help us better care for one another and bring more of Jesus into our lives.

Cath Hawes - Children's Outreach Worker

Cath and her family have been members of Christ Church for 10 years. In 2019 she left her job in a local school to join the church staff as Children's Outreach Worker.

Sheila Blake - Churchwarden

Sheila became a churchwarden in 2016, and is often to be seen around the building at different services and events.

Keith Wiseman - Churchwarden

Keith has been part of Christ Church for many years, and is involved in music ministry, particularly at the 9.00am and 6.30pm services. He took on the role of churchwarden in 2019.

Nick Alexander - Reader

Nick recently celebrated his 50th year of being a Reader. Over this time he has enjoyed experiencing a variety of churches around the world, as well as serving here at Christ Church.

Louis Spring - Reader

As one of our Readers, Louis leads services and preaches from time to time, alongside his 'day job' as a university lecturer.

Irini Critoph - Church Administrator

Irini has worked here as our Church Administrator since 2016. On a Sunday she'll often be found at the coffee bar - so please do come and say hi!
